The mission of charity:water is simple: bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
Most of us haven't ever had to worry about having access to clean water. We have never had to walk 5 miles to fetch water. However, that is not the case for over a billion people on this planet. In simpler terms, that is 1 in every 9 people on the plant earth.
We are really excited at the possibility of bringing fresh, clean water. That clean water will provide better health, sanitation, education (the kids can go to school instead of collecting water for their families), food security, and economic development.
We are committed to this cause because we believe preserving nature leads to a healthy planet, which in turn, allows for healthier and happier people.
TommyOwens is a proud supporter of The Nature Conservancy - a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. Since 1951, The Nature Conservancy has protected 119 million acres of land and 5,000 miles of rivers worldwide. Some of their key initiatives include improving the survival of coasts and oceans, protecting freshwater ecosystems, restoring and managing the world's forests and helping to preserve parks all over the world. They have achieved tremendous success in addressing the key threats to conservation.
The Surfers For Autism mission is to unlock the potential of people with developmental delays, support advocacy for autism issues and scientific research. Their focus is to eliminate stigma through public awareness and education and to unite communities through volunteerism.
